Our Courses & Retreats

Booking Terms and Conditions

Due to limited availability for each course, applications will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. To secure your reservation, a deposit amounting to 15% of the total course cost is required upon booking. Shambhala Yoga School maintains the right to decline enrollment to students who have not settled the remaining balance before the course commencement.

Payment Guidelines

To guarantee a spot in the course, a deposit equal to 15% of the total course fee must be submitted during the booking process. This payment can be made via credit card or bank transfer. The outstanding balance of the course fee must be settled 30 days before the scheduled course start date. Both the deposit and the balance payments are non-refundable; however, they can be applied toward rescheduling for other Teacher Training Courses. This rescheduling option remains valid for one year, provided the request for rescheduling is made 45 days prior to the course's initial start date.

Confirmation and Preparatory Information

Upon successful payment of the deposit, a confirmation email will be dispatched (from Monday to Friday). This email will contain comprehensive details regarding the items to bring along for the course as well as recommended reading materials to facilitate your preparation for the upcoming course.

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy

Students are granted the flexibility to withdraw from participation either up to 45 days before the course begins or during the course itself. When this occurs, we extend two viable options:

  1. Rescheduling: Students can opt to transfer their enrollment to an alternate course within a span of one year, upon availability.

  2. Partial Refund: If the course has already commenced, students have the alternative of receiving a partial refund for the unused portion of the course.

The provision of refunds is exclusively reserved for cases of student's emergencies that manifest during the course. Examples of such emergencies include:

  • Death of a first-degree family member

  • Needing surgery yourself

  • Severe illness or injury of yourself that prevents participation

To support such claims, students are required to provide original documentation that substantiates the situation at hand. In instances where a refund is warranted, the calculation will be based on a proportional assessment, corresponding to the period for which the student was not actively engaged in the course.

Dismissal Policy

The school reserves the right to dismiss a student in the following instances:

  • Violation of the rules of the school

  • Display of disruptive or disrespectful behavior towards other students or teachers

  • Consumption of drugs or alcohol on school premises or arriving to the school under their influence

In situations as mentioned above, no refunds will be issued.

Student Acknowledgment and Responsibility

By enrolling in a course at Shambhala Yoga School, students acknowledge and accept the following:

  • They are participating in yoga practice under their own responsibility.

  • They have disclosed all relevant health information to the yoga teachers at the beginning of the course (not doing it can result in not accepting the student to continue in the course, without the possibility of asking for a refund)

  • They have listened to and will adhere to the recommendations provided by the yoga teachers.

  • They accept the school's rules, terms, and conditions.

  • They understand that missing classes, displaying disrespectful behavior, or not feeling comfortable within the group are not valid reasons for requesting a refund. Refunds are only possible under the circumstances explained above.
