Who This 300-Hour Training Is For
Our 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is for yoga teachers who have already completed a 200-hour teacher training and feel ready to continue learning.
Perhaps you have been teaching for a while and want to deepen your knowledge. Perhaps you have discovered that different students need very different things from their yoga practice. Or perhaps you simply feel that there is still so much more you want to explore.
This training may be right for you if you:
-
Want to deepen your understanding of yoga beyond the 200-hour foundation
-
Want to become a more confident, knowledgeable and adaptable teacher
-
Want to expand your teaching with Yin, Restorative, Pre- & Postnatal Yoga
-
Want to explore Ayurveda, pranayama, meditation and ancient yogic teachings
-
Want to better understand how different practices can support different students
-
Want to develop your ability to adapt your teaching to different bodies, needs and stages of life
-
Value learning through practice, experience, observation and discussion
-
Want personal guidance from experienced teachers in a genuinely small group
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly where this journey will take you.
You simply need the experience of your 200-hour foundation, an open mind and the desire to keep learning.
Because becoming a better yoga teacher isn’t about knowing everything.
It’s about becoming curious enough to keep exploring.
Why Go Beyond the 200-Hour Foundation?
Your 200-hour training gives you the foundation to teach yoga.
But once you begin teaching, you quickly discover that every student is different.
Some students arrive wanting a strong Vinyasa practice. Others need to slow down. Some struggle to be still, while others are looking for rest, connection and a way to step away from the constant demands of everyday life.
As a teacher, the more you understand, the more choices you have.
Our 300-hour training gives you the opportunity to explore practices and teachings that allow you to meet your students where they are — rather than expecting every student to fit into the same class.
You will deepen your knowledge of Yin and Restorative Yoga, Pre- & Postnatal Yoga, Ayurveda, pranayama, meditation and ancient yogic texts, while continuing to develop your understanding of yoga as a whole.
These are not simply additional certificates or styles to add to your teaching schedule.
They are tools for becoming a more aware, adaptable and compassionate teacher.
The goal is not to teach more.
It is to understand more — and to have more ways to support the people who come to you.
Why These Practices Matter
As a yoga teacher, you will meet people in very different moments of their lives.
Not every student is ready for a strong Vinyasa practice. Some arrive stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted. Others find it difficult to slow down, or simply need a quieter way to connect with themselves.
Practices such as Yin, Restorative Yoga, pranayama and meditation give you more ways to support them. You learn to recognize when a student may benefit from slowing down, becoming quieter or choosing a different kind of practice.
In a world filled with constant stimulation and stress, these practices can help you reach people who may not connect with a dynamic class.
Supporting women through pregnancy and beyond
Pregnancy is another time when a woman’s body and needs change. Understanding how to adapt yoga allows you to support her through these changes with greater knowledge and confidence.
After birth, Postnatal Yoga can offer a mother a precious space to pause, reconnect with herself and gradually return to her practice.
And when she is ready, your knowledge of Hatha and Vinyasa can support her as she moves back towards a more dynamic practice.
For us, learning these practices isn’t about collecting more styles.
It’s about having more ways to meet people where they are.

You will also be introduced to Abhyanga, Ayurvedic self-massage using oils to support relaxation and wellbeing.
Ancient Texts & Yoga Philosophy
Go deeper into the wisdom behind yoga through the study of ancient yogic texts and philosophical teachings.
Explore how these teachings can move beyond theory and become something you understand, experience and integrate into your own life and teaching.
Advanced Pranayama & Meditation
Deepen your personal practice and your ability to guide others through more advanced pranayama and meditation techniques.
Explore how breath, awareness and meditation can support different needs, including relaxation, emotional balance, concentration and self-awareness.
Bringing It Into Your Teaching
The purpose of this training is not simply to give you more techniques.
It is to help you understand when, why and how to use them — so you can respond to the people in front of you with greater knowledge, sensitivity and confidence.
You will leave with a broader understanding of yoga and more ways to support your students through different needs and stages of life.

Your Teachers
Behind every training is a team of teachers who bring their own experience, knowledge and way of seeing yoga.
Over the years, we have taught students with very different backgrounds, bodies, experiences and needs. We have guided beginners, experienced teachers and people navigating moments of change, uncertainty or difficulty.
This experience has taught us that there is no single way to teach yoga — and no single way to learn it.
We bring knowledge, but also patience, empathy and the willingness to listen. We are here to answer your questions, support you when something feels challenging and help you find a way forward when you feel unsure.
Our experience also includes trauma-informed approaches, allowing us to create a learning environment where people can feel respected, supported and safe to explore.
Most importantly, we genuinely love teaching and sharing yoga.
We want you to leave Shambhala with more knowledge, but also with greater confidence in yourself, a deeper understanding of your students and the feeling that you have been truly supported throughout your journey.
